Can you download videos from Likee
Yes, Likee lets you save clips straight to your phone gallery — the feature is built into the app. There is one catch: the saved file keeps a watermark with the Likee logo and the author's username. For personal viewing that is fine, but if you want to move your own video to another social network or edit it into a new clip, the watermark looks messy.
Below we cover both the built-in way to save and the options that remove the watermark. You may only download other people's clips for personal use — publishing someone else's content as your own is not allowed.
Method 1: save through the Likee app
The simplest and safest route is the built-in Save button:
- Open the video you need in the Likee feed.
- Tap the Share icon (the arrow on the right).
- In the menu pick Save video or Download.
- The clip appears in your phone gallery in the Likee folder.
The downside is the watermark stays. The upside — it works without third-party services and won't get your account blocked. If the author disabled downloading in privacy settings, the Save button won't be there.
Method 2: download without watermark via online tools
To remove the watermark people use online downloaders. The steps are almost identical everywhere:
- In the Likee app tap Share → Copy link.
- Open any Likee downloader in your browser (search for "download Likee video without watermark").
- Paste the link into the field and tap Download.
- Choose the "No watermark" option and save the file.
Important: never enter your Likee login and password on such sites and don't install suspicious apps — the link to the clip is all that's needed.
Method 3: screen recording
If the video is protected from downloading or the service fails, built-in screen recording helps. On iPhone it's in the Control Center, on Android in the notification shade. Play the clip full screen, start recording and let it run to the end. The quality is slightly below the original, but there will be no Likee watermark — only what's captured on screen.
What to do with the downloaded video next
Most often clips are saved to re-upload them to other networks — TikTok, Reels, VK Clips. But plain copying rarely takes off: algorithms are cold toward accounts with no activity. For a fresh clip on another platform to get initial reach it needs its first views and reactions — you can earn them organically or speed things up with SMM promotion. A small boost at the start helps the video catch on in recommendations and then grow on its own.
Common download problems
If a video won't save, check a few things. The author may have disabled downloading in privacy settings — then the built-in button won't appear. An online service may not open private accounts. And very long clips sometimes get cut off during screen recording because of low memory. In most cases updating the Likee app to the latest version and freeing up phone storage fixes it.
