First establish which side is broken
Everything that follows depends on one question: is it broken for everyone or only for you. You can check in a minute:
- Open the platform on another device or over mobile data instead of your home connection.
- Check the platform official social accounts, where major outages are usually announced.
- Look at services that collect user reports, since a mass spike is immediately visible.
If it is broken for everyone, waiting is all that is left, because such outages cannot be fixed from the user side. If it is only you, work through the list below.
The site will not open
- Clear your browser cache and cookies for this site, the most common cause of strange behaviour.
- Try private mode, which disables extensions, since ad blockers regularly break players.
- Switch browsers, which immediately separates a browser problem from a network problem.
- If you use a VPN, turn it off and check again, because some platform-side addresses may be blocked through it.
The broadcast stutters or pixelates
Almost always this is your connection rather than the platform. The check is simple: if video from other sources plays smoothly on the same device, the issue is your link to the platform or its CDN.
- Lower the quality manually, since automatic selection often picks too high a bitrate for your network.
- Switch from Wi-Fi to a cable or move closer to the router.
- Close torrents and downloads that eat your bandwidth.
- Restart the router: obvious, but it helps more often than you would expect.
You cannot sign in
- Check your keyboard layout and capitalisation, since passwords are case sensitive.
- Request a password reset and check your spam folder.
- If two-factor protection is on and the code does not arrive, check the clock on your device, because codes stop matching when the time drifts.
- If the account is banned, the login page usually says so directly, and only a support request remains.
Problems on the streamer side
A separate category is when the platform works but your broadcast does not:
- The stream will not start. Check the stream key: after regeneration the old one stops working while your software still holds it.
- Viewers see a black screen. Usually a conflict between game capture and fullscreen mode rather than a platform issue.
- The stream keeps dropping. The bitrate exceeds your connection, so lower it.
- No sound. The desktop audio source is missing or muted in the mixer.
When the problem is not technical
One case is often mistaken for a malfunction: the broadcast runs, everything works, but there are no viewers. That is not a fault. Streams within a category are sorted by viewer count, and a new channel lands at the very bottom where nobody physically scrolls.
This is cured not by settings but by visibility: less competitive categories, a regular schedule and lifting the broadcast in the list. Kick viewer services with stated delivery speed are collected in the catalogue, and they are tied to airtime, so launching them early in a broadcast makes sense rather than near the end.
