What happens when you delete a Likee account
Deleting a Likee account is an irreversible action. Along with the profile go all your videos, followers, likes, chats and accumulated in-app currency (Beans and Diamonds). They cannot be recovered after final deletion, so before this step it's worth downloading the clips you need and cashing out or spending your balance.
If you just want a break from the app, you don't have to delete the account — you can log out or deactivate the profile temporarily. More on that below.
Step-by-step deletion guide
You can only delete an account from your phone, through the app:
- Open Likee and go to your profile (the "Me" icon at the bottom right).
- Tap the three lines or the gear icon to open Settings.
- Choose the Account or Privacy section.
- Find Delete account.
- Confirm the action and enter the code from SMS or email if the app asks for it.
After confirmation the account goes into the deletion queue. Data is usually erased within the period set by the platform — until then the profile is hidden from other users.
How deactivation differs from deletion
If you're not sure you want to part with the profile forever, choose deactivation or simply log out. Deactivation hides the profile but keeps the data — you can come back and everything will be in place. Full deletion wipes everything permanently. For a two-week break deletion is clearly overkill.
Can a deleted account be restored
While the account is in the deletion queue (during the grace period), logging back in usually cancels the deletion — just sign in again. But once the period expires and the data is erased, restoring the profile, followers and videos is no longer possible. You'll have to register again from scratch.
What to do before deleting
To avoid losing anything important, before deleting you should: download your videos to the gallery, spend or cash out accumulated Diamonds, and warn your followers if you had an active audience. The last point matters most for those who ran the account seriously — losing a hard-won audience is a shame.
If you're deleting because of slow growth — there's an alternative
Accounts are often deleted not because the platform got boring, but because the videos don't get views and motivation drops. Before wiping the profile, try to revive it: refresh the design, post a series of trending clips and give them an initial push. A small boost of views and followers helps push videos into recommendations, and the motivation to run the account often comes back with it.
