What referrals on Likee are

A referral is a person who signed up for the app using your link or invite code. The platform sees that you brought the new user in and rewards you for it: in-app currency, task points or access to a campaign. It is the standard social media scheme — users bring the audience in, and it costs the platform less than advertising.

The key thing about Likee: the referral program here is not a permanent menu button but a seasonal activity. It shows up in the tasks section or in an event banner, runs for a few weeks and disappears until the next wave. That is why one user has "Invite a friend" and another one in the same city does not — it is not a bug.

Where to find the referral link and invite code

If a campaign is running right now, look for the invite in three places:

Once you find the activity, Likee generates a personal link and a short code. The link goes into a messenger or a story, the code your friend types in manually. One important detail: the code has to be entered during registration or right after it — adding it retroactively, a week after the account was created, no longer links the accounts.

If there is nothing in the tasks or the banners, the wave is simply not running in your region. Waiting makes sense; writing to support asking them to "enable referrals for me" does not.

What you get for an invited friend

The reward depends on the specific campaign and country: somewhere it is Diamonds, somewhere task points, somewhere a direct cash bonus on the in-app balance. There is no single fixed rate, and the numbers from two-year-old videos are not valid in 2026 — go by what the campaign itself says inside the app.

What stays the same across all waves: the reward is paid not for the install but for the invited user's activity. Your friend has to open the app, watch a certain number of clips, come back the next day or complete the starter tasks. An empty install "for the tick" almost never counts. If you are figuring out the platform's internal currency, our breakdown of Beans and Diamonds on Likee helps — friend rewards arrive exactly in those.

Why the friend bonus does not arrive

The most common complaint: the friend joined, the reward did not. Usually the reason is one of these:

If every condition is met and nothing has been credited for three or four days, contact support via "Settings → Help and feedback". Attach a screenshot of the campaign, the invited user's nickname and the signup date — without those, the ticket almost always gets a template reply.

Can referrals be faked

Creating a pile of empty accounts and collecting the reward is the first idea that comes to mind — and it breaks against anti-fraud. One device, one IP, an identical behavioral trace, signups a minute apart: the platform detects these clusters automatically. In the best case the bonuses simply burn, in the worst case the main account gets banned together with the saved currency and the payout.

A separate word about sites promising "Likee referrals for money". They work in two ways: they take the payment and vanish, or they ask for your account login and password, after which the account belongs to someone else. A legitimate promotion service never asks for your social media password — only a public link to the profile or the video.

What actually grows the account instead of referrals

Invites are a nice bonus for a couple of weeks, but they bring no reach: invited friends do not turn into viewers of your content. Clips are lifted by other things — consistency, hitting the trends and the first engagement signals. We have separate guides on that: how to get into Likee recommendations and which hashtags to use.

Every new account has the same weak spot — the start. The algorithm is reluctant to push a video with zero views, and viewers scroll past empty counters. So creators give their clips a first push: a small amount of Likee views and likes delivered gradually pulls the video out of the dead zone, and the feed picks it up from there. It works together with the content, not instead of it — promoting a weak clip buys numbers, not retention.
